Lake Maraetai is the ideal location for a waterways cruise. Because the lake is in a zig-zag shape, the reach is small enough so that the wind is not able to build up any substantial waves. Basic this means that we always have nice cruising waters.
Located in the center of the North Island, Mangakino is 30 minutes from Tokoroa, 45 minutes from Rotorua or Taupo, 90 minutes from Hamilton or Tauranga and 3 hours from Auckland, 5 hours from Wellington. We are an easy day trip from most places and an ideal place to stop over on your way to the the ski fields, Rotorua or Orakei Korako thermal areas, Waitomo Caves, Tongarairo Crossing, or any of the hundreds of interesting activities and adventures the area has to offer.
