Book Trips
Explore Lake Maraetai and its tributaries with us on Otunui, a paddleboat with more than 100 years of history in New Zealand. To confirm a reservation we request your details, or advanced payment. Important Information • We accept cash, EFTPOS and credit cards • We accept cheques and can invoice you for advance bookings • If you need to cancel your booking please give us 48 hours notice • *All prices are subject to change and are in New Zealand Dollars • We must have at least 8 passengers to operate the boat • Otunui operates every day of the year (weather permitting) except Christmas Day • Reservations are recommended • Trips generally depart at 1pm, or by arrangement Pricing Public Trips: 1 hr $25.00; 2 hr $35.00 Discounts for kids and seniors: 1 hr $20.00; 2 hr $25.00 Family passes available: for two adults and four kids 1hr $95, 2hr $125. River Trail Shuttle: Forest Trail 16km $25, Whakamaru Dam 12km $35, Riverbend 8km $25, Swingbridge 6km $25. Charters allow for up to 40 passengers: 1 hr $400, 2hrs $650.
