Peter Koole
– Owner/Operator and Skipper, drove the canal wideboat Farnworth on the Grand Union Canal, in the UK for two years. Also owned and operated a 40' steel houseboat in the US for several years. Settled in Mangakino 7 years ago and has explored by kayak many of the turns and corners of Lake Maraetai and its tributaries.
Barree Sproule
– Former owner/operator and part-time skipper. Barree has had many years of experience with Otunui and has rebuilt her completely – twice. He has a treasure-trove of stories, like the time a cow jumped onto the stern deck and caused havoc and when Queen Elizabeth II came for a cruise up to Huka Falls. And there’s plenty more where those came from. We are very pleased to have Barree along to help us settle in.
Leola Abraham
– Communications officer, with more than 10 years experience in the public and private sector. She holds a Communications degree and a post-graduate degree in Writing. She manages communications, marketing, media and public relations. She has explored the Waikato River trail on foot and mountain bike.
